Lubito-1 is our proposed first model research initiative. The initial goal is to adapt and rigorously evaluate an open-weight model for Somali-English tasks, rather than claim a model trained from scratch.
Our work will prioritize lawful data access, reproducible experiments, independent evaluation, and clear reporting of limitations.
